Is There a Way to Verify Ethical Sourcing Claims Before Bidding?
All specialty coffee listings on platform are accompanied by Q-grade report issued by an SCA certified grading agency and any proof of awards or certifications. Some listings also provide sample beans for independent verification.
What is the Warehouse Outbound Email?
The email address for coordinating outgoing shipments from the warehouse.
What is the Warehouse Inbound Email?
The email address for coordinating incoming shipments with the warehouse.
What is Seller Offer Samples?
Whether the seller is willing to provide coffee samples to potential buyers.
What is the Seller Minimum Quantity (bags)?
The minimum number of units available for sale expressed in multiples of 10 (bags). The minimum allowed value is 10.
What is the First Available Date?
The earliest date the coffee can be made available shipping.
What are Coffee Bag Markings?
The printed or stenciled information on the coffee bag for identification.
What is the Arriving Container ID?
The shipping container identification number if the coffee is inbound.
What is the Contract/Cargo Code?
A reference number for shipping or contract identification.
What does Who Pays the Shipping mean?
This indicates the seller preference for shipping terms as CIF or FOB.

What is Number of Units?
The total number of units available for sale expressed in multiples of 10 (bags). The minimum allowed value is 10.
What is Unit Net Size (in KG)?
The net weight of coffee inside each unit, excluding packaging.
What is Unit Size (in KG)?
The gross weight per unit, including packaging. The individual weight of each unit you are transporting. Examples: Your beans are in 60kg bags, the unit size is 60kg.
What is Unit Type?
Standard type of container or packaging of your coffee beans can be Bags, Box, Pallet, Container. On the Kaffea-X platform the unit is standardize in bags.
What is the Proof of Award?
Documentation supporting an award or certification. Examples: Cup of Excellence, National Quality Award, etc. This field will only be shown if you mark your coffee beans as Prize Winning. Upload in various format supported, PDF, JPEG, PNG, etc.
What is the Q-Grade Report?

What are Cupping Notes?
The sensory flavor notes describing the coffee�s taste profile, such as Floral, anise, chocolate, etc. Minimum of 1 cupping note is mandatory.
What is Prize Winning?
Whether the coffee has won any awards or certifications, such as Cup of Excellence, fair trade certified, etc,
Who is the Q-Grader Reporter/Issuer?
The certified Q-grader who performed the cupping and issued the grading report.
What is SCA Grade?
The Specialty Coffee Association quality grade, typically 80+ points for specialty coffee.
What is the Production Lot?
The specific lot or batch identifier for traceability purposes.
What is Minimum Screen Size?
The smallest bean size (in 1/64 of an inch) included in the lot. Example: 14+, 15+, 16+, 17+, 18+, PB (Peaberry).
What is Harvest Year?
The year the coffee was harvested.
What is Process?
The method used to process the coffee cherries. Examples: Washed, Natural/Dry, Honey, etc.
What does Organic or Non-organic mean?
Whether the coffee is organic or not.
What does Single or Blend mean?
Whether the coffee is from a single origin (one farm or region) or a blend of beans from multiple sources.
What is Species Variety?
The specific cultivar or variety within the species. Examples: Bourbon, Typica, Geisha, etc.
What does Plant Species mean?
The botanical classification of the coffee plant, usually Arabica, Robusta, etc.
What is Elevation?
The altitude (in meters above sea level) where the coffee was grown. Higher elevations typically produce higher-quality coffee.
Who is the Producer?
The farmer, cooperative, or estate responsible for growing the coffee.
What is the Coffee Region?
The specific area within the country where the coffee was produced. Example: Sidamo (Ethiopia), Huila (Colombia), etc.
What is the Origin Country?
The country where the coffee was grown and harvested. Example: Colombia, Ethiopia, Brazil, etc.
What happens if my listing fails review?
If your listing is declined, you will receive an email from listings@kaffeax.com with the reason for rejection. The listing will be moved to the Decline tab, allowing the seller to revise and resubmit.
Are there secure payment milestones?
All transaction payment terms and schedules are agreed upon directly between the buyer and seller as part of the contract and executed on the settlement agent platform, escrow.com.
Can I integrate freight forwarders into the platform?
No, Kaffea-X does not currently support direct integration with freight forwarders. Shipping arrangements must be handled separately between the buyer and seller.
How is coffee quality verified pre-shipment?
Kaffea-X does not directly inspect or grade the coffee, but listings are complete with cupping scores, lab reports, and third-party certifications if applicable. Buyers may also request samples if the seller offers them as indicated on the listings.
How are contract disputes resolved?
Once a contract is created and signed by both parties any subsequent disputes are resolved under provisions of GCA/ ECFA as applicable .
